Sorry i haven’t had an entry for a minute. I have 2 pieces at home plus a new poem to post but with the winter weather i haven’t been motivated to get out. I also lost my cell phone so if you think i have your number i probably don’t and you should call me. Mike

Thanks for the comments friends and Happy Holidays. Julie’s blog is great to keep track of the doings of the Thundering Herd and I checked out the link Joe posted which is a very funny book discussion between Ernest Hemingway and Ayn Rand on the Christmas Carol. Coincidentally Hemingway I feel has probably had the greatest influence on my writing with the way he presents dramatic info in a very matter of fact and spartan way. I also like Ayn Rand believe it or not, to present your philosophy in a trashy romance is some achievement. I loved Atlas Shrugged but couldn’t finish the Fountainhead and i will leave you with a quote from the great one herself: “If you are not happy you do not have the simple wisdom of a flower which knows to grow towards the sun”. I carried that in my wallet for years.
